Mangalise Fishing Village

Mozambique Horse Safari developed the very popular Fishing Village Ride to support the Mangalise Fishing Village community by providing regular business and income. We visit often on horseback to have lunch with clients/volunteers and do our best to provide them with books, pencils and other school materials. We ask for support from volunteers and clients for supplies.

English

Volunteers support with conversational English at a nearby teacher college if we are not too busy working with horses. The adult students have very little opportunity to practice their English and very much appreciate any occasion to converse and share stories and cultural backgrounds with our volunteers. It is lots of fun and a nice way to meet  local people

Soap Making

Mandy loves making soap and provides for many of the resorts in the area. Our volunteers all have the opportunity to learn this wonderful skill and often find it therapeutic and enjoyable.
