My trip was rewarding
and impactful. It’s hard to explain the sense of
enrichment I gained, and so I encourage others to go
try it firsthand. Pat and Mandy are patient and work
with the varying skill levels of the volunteers and
it is easy to see their dedication to the horses. Of
course, the daily capacity to ride and work with the
horses was the best part of the trip, however
engaging with locals and others of the community
exceeded the hospitality expected of a volunteer
program. African sunrises and sunsets must be seen
in person, especially while on horseback.
